Comments about Northwave Extreme Tech SBS Road Shoes:

I was looking good high end shoe. This was discounted as last seasons model. Its the most comfortable shoe straight out the box. Easy to adjust on the fly and with a stiff sole for no power loss. I've been riding for 43 years and these are as better than any shoes I've previously owned

Comments about Northwave Extreme Tech SBS Road Shoes:

I have worth Northwave shoes for both road and cross for years and their shoes are great. When I saw that the Extreme were on sale at great price I had to buy them.

The problem with these shoes is the location of the boa dial on the forefoot is a pressure point if you have a high instep. The pressure on my cuneiform bones was there with little tighten of the boa system.

Other than that the one issue which I think is a big one for a lot of people the width and length and overall fit was good. The shoe are light weight and appear to be well constructed.

Comments about Northwave Extreme Tech SBS Road Shoes:

I use this shoe for training and competing and they work good for both things. At first I was really worried that they were to slim for my feet but they are finally breaking in and molding to my feet quite nicely. The longest training session I've done so far in them was 95 miles and they didn't bother me once during the whole ride. for the price these shoes are very good value, one thing to keep in mind is to treat them like precious jewels because they scratch not easily but more easily then they should. They are amazing at putting the power down to the pedals aside from how light they are (even with the clips bolted on). Overall good shoe I just wish they weren't so delicate.

Comments about Northwave Extreme Tech SBS Road Shoes:

With Northwave, watch out on the sizing. It runs a size larger than most other brands. As for the Extreme Tech model, a nice overall shoe. It's a little delicate on the bottom with the all carbon sole, especially when you stop at a light and put a foot down toe first. A little Shoe Goo applied on the bottom toe area keeps the sole from getting scraped up. As for speedplay installation, it's a bit of work to get the bolts through the bottom. Find someone with small hands to help since you will need to work from inside the shoe.

Comments about Northwave Extreme Tech SBS Road Shoes:

I wear 9.5, 43.5 sidi, 43 adidas, 12 y.o NW 43, but they advise 9.5 = 42, weird. I hate cramped toes so got 42.5, feels great with winter socks, maybe racers want tighter fit with thin socks but glad I got 42.5
Nbar had speedplay adapter on sale but it was a pain to get inside, "lift" the insole window. But that was partially glued, sloppy gluing. Otherwise OK, like ratchet upper, more leverage than boa, good price when NB had another 30% off.
