Michelin Krylion Carbon Road Tire
The Michelin Krylion Carbon road tire is an extremely durable clincher, yet retains a superb ride quality. The key to its durability is its thicker center tread. It's reinforced with carbon, which gives you 30% more tread life, so it's not unusual to get thousands of miles on these great all-around tires. Ideal for racing or long-distance training, these tires also deliver a superb grip in wet or dry conditions and are highly resistant to cuts and punctures. They feel sublime, as well, out on the road due to the 127 TPI casing which creates an extra supple ride.

Comments about Michelin Krylion Carbon Road Tire:

Been using krylions for several years. I usually get around 1200 miles from rear tires and 1800 from front. Yes I know I should rotate them but that's probably not going to happen.

Comments about Michelin Krylion Carbon Road Tire:

I placed this tire on my rear wheel. I read the instructions for proper inflation. After 1100 miles, the tread wore down to the casing. And due to the higher pressure recommended by the manufacturer, my rim cracked around 5-6 spoke holes. These holes had reinforcing eyelets too. I used a comparable tire by a different manufacturer on the same rear wheel, and got 3000 miles of use and no rim damage.

If you are going to buy this tire, don't inflate above 100 PSI.

Riding partner had a set of these that went well over 4K. No flats and retained profile, did not flatten out. These tires were a major upgrade from stock tires that came on my new ride.Have used Lithion's, good but not high mileage.Great deal from Nasbar.

bought this to replace my original tires schwalbe lugano with 1000+ miles. disappointed with this tires less than 100 miles have wear on them, saw lots of cut on them too. i rode both tires on the same roads and not too happy with michelin on the durability.

Comments about Michelin Krylion Carbon Road Tire:

these are the 2ed set of michelin krylion carbon tires I've owned and that's because the first set has lasted around three years. With a track record like that why buy any thing else. The only down side is Michelin uses a hard rubber compound to make the tires and they ride a little rougher than a tire made with a softer compound. But a small detail when you consider all the good things about this tire.

Comments about Michelin Krylion Carbon Road Tire:

I've had several of these and have generally been satisfied with them despite the fact that they seem to show signs of wear relatively quickly (especially compared with some comparably priced Contis). The most recent one I ordered, however, blew out after only 12 miles (bead tore away from rest of tire). Nasbar sent me a replacement and so far, so good. All in all, a decent tire for my purposes - and for the price.

Comments about Michelin Krylion Carbon Road Tire:

If you have an aero style rim you will find it impossible not to pry on to finish mounting. Finally, after letting the last of the tire sit stretched, then hair dryer, and then tire tools to finish mounting. I was lucky with both tires!

Have been using it as the front tire on my road bike. I average about 6000 miles a year. The Michelin has good rolling resistance, good wear and good puncture protection.

Last set lasted 3500 miles and kept them for spares had to replace endurance 4 after a slit in the side of one from a rock, these won't cut as easy they seam to be just a little stiffer ride
