Enduro 305 series wheels are designed for enduro-style mountain biking. These wheels have Industry Nine's proprietary Torch hubsets for ease of conversion and 120-point engagement which makes for quick pedaling engagement. This quick engagement reduces foot down dabs in tight turns and technical climbs. The Torch hubs make these places easier to pedal through. Their one-piece spoke design allows them to eliminate the J-bend and the spoke/nipple interface. Their spokes thread directly into the hub shell with a larger diameter thread than the main spoke body, eliminating weakness at the thread. This increases the surface contact area by more than 200% over a standard 14g spoke and nipple combination for greater stiffness. They also feature an updated Enduro rim that's wider for better tire stability and lower sidewalls for dent resistance and tubeless tire retention.
Industry Nine components are manufactured in the USA, start to finish. Everything. Each hub goes through layers of CNC machine processes. The layers of processes include the manufacturing of pawls, splines, teeth, and other parts all separately machined and scrutinized by quality control. Hubs are individually polished and/or anodized, and laser-etched in-house. The production warehouse shelves are constantly moving with outgoing orders and incoming fresh parts from the machine shop. Industry nine has all of the technology they need to create their in-house project. For example, there's a wire EDM Machine, which cuts hardened steel by using an electrical current. The wire EDM machine maximizes the strength and accuracy used to cut teeth and pawls. The crew of wheel builders at i9 is made up of about 5 people each finishing up roughly 10 to 15 wheelsets PER DAY. Industry Nine really goes the whole nine yards with their components.
