Industry Nine Torch Ultralite 235 29" Wheelset (Black)

Ultralite 235 series wheels are designed for XC race-style mountain biking. Featuring Industry Nine's proprietary Torch hubsets for ease of conversion and high engagement as well as aluminum spokes, these wheels are 100% made in Industry Nine's Asheville, NC facility. Their spoke design allows them to eliminate the J-bend and the spoke/nipple interface. Their spokes thread directly into the hub shell with a larger diameter thread than the main spoke body, eliminating weakness at the thread. This increases the surface contact area by more than 200% over a standard 14g spoke and nipple combination for greater stiffness. They also feature an updated Ultralite rim that's wider for better tire stability and lower sidewalls for dent resistance and tubeless tire retention.

Industry Nine components are manufactured in the USA, start to finish. Everything. Through the layers of CNC machine processes, even if parts are separately machined and scrutinized by quality control. Hubs are individually polished and/or anodized, and laser-etched in-house. The production warehouse shelves are constantly moving with outgoing orders and incoming fresh parts from the machine shop. Industry nine has all of the technology they need to create their in-house project. For example, there's a wire EDM Machine, which cuts hardened steel by using an electrical current. The wire EDM machine maximizes the strength and accuracy used to cut teeth and pawls. Industry Nine really goes the whole nine yards with their components.
