Jagwire Mountain Pro Cantilever Brake Pads (Black) (1 Pair)
Pricey, but they work great !!! They mostly have a quiet hissing sound and only squeal on hard fast braking, and even that is no big deal. They fit my ancient 1985 Shimano XTR cantilevers perfectly. They have much more braking surface area than the originals. Installation took 30 mins using two wrenches and some futzing, which is very similar to swapping out any pads. Orienting them for installation is easy too with obvious top and front markers. If you ever need to, you can replace the pads rather than tossing the whole assembly. The quality is unmistakable!
