You may know Lezyne for their quality pumps, packs, and lights, but Lezyne has a different approach to the bike GPS computer. The first thing that sets the Mega XL GPS apart from the rest is that it has the option of a landscape or portrait orientation. Secondly, the Mega XL has on-screen maps, provides turn-by-turn navigation, off-line navigation, and if you lose your way when there's no cell reception, there's a breadcrumb feature so you can find your way back home. The basics, like an accelerometer and barometer, are integrated with the Gloass/GPS and BTLE which enable you to chase a Strava segment with live-feedback. This use of data also enables and friends and family to follow your rides in real-time. Texts and phone calls (optional) seamlessly appear so you can see who is contacting you without taking your hands off of the bars.
Those are some of the cool tech features, but in terms of practicality, this computer takes the cake. The Mega XL is extremely water resistant, its battery lasts 48 hours, and stores up to 800 hours of riding information. Compare this battery life to a Garmin 520 or a Wahoo Element- these battery lives combined (15+17hrs) don't match the life of the Mega XL thanks to the stong Li-Po battery. The X-Lock mounting system secures the Mega XL to your bike with a spring lock, 1/8th turn system. This means the Mega XL won't leave your bike unless you take it off, even if you take a bad crash. This Loaded Pack has a red Heart Rate Flow Sensor that neatly detaches from the strap so the adjustable strap can be cleaned without damaging the electronic hardware. An advanced 2-in-1 magnetic speed and cadence sensor, as well as a Direct X-Lock out-front system, are included. The Direct X-Lock System is an accessory that bolts directly to the stem faceplate and provides various mounting options for your Mega GPS and other accessories. This system allows you to mount multiple devices to your bike securely and conveniently. It also reduces handlebar clutter by using the existing hardware of your stem.
