Marin Nail Trail 6 Hardtail Mountain Bike (Gloss Black/Charcoal Fade) (M (27.5))
I had a very nice bike from a major brand company that was stolen a few weeks ago and after doing a lot of searching and research I replaced that bike with this Marin Nail Trail 6. The bike arrived quickly and it was packaged very securely and received in perfect condition. Assembly was easy enough and the first thing you notice is that this is a beautiful bike with a very impressive paint job.

So I took it for my first trail ride and have to say it was not an enjoyable ride but that was caused by my not having the bike tuned in correctly. I had too much air in the tires and that made for a really bumpy ride over the roots and rocks. My derailleur was shifting rough on several gears, my seat was sitting too high and my shifter was not really in a comfortable location for my hand position.

So I came home and lowered the air pressure considerably in both tires, adjusted my RockShox to more travel, simply loosened and rotated my shifter a little and took a few turns on my shifting adjustment thumb screw which fixed my rough shift issue. The seat that comes with the bike is a very nice seat but I am big on comfort and bought the same cushioned seat that was on my previous stolen bike. I had this aftermarket seat on the bike when I took this initial ride and my height is 5'8". I did a mathematical calculation I found on Youtube that showed my perfect distance from the pedal at it farthest point out to top center of the seat is 34 inches. Because my comfy seat has all that padding, with the seat post fully inserted I was still reading 35 inches. So I simply took a hacksaw and cut an inch and a half off the bottom of the seat post. My next ride was like I wasn't even on the same bike. This bike is so much fun to ride and it responds amazingly. The brakes are great and will save you when you need to stop suddenly. I found this on sale for an incredible $800 and it is a hell of a nice bike and worth every penny of the MSRP in my opinion. At the sale price it is a STEAL !!!!!

I did deal with Customer Service through email right after getting the bike and they responded within a few hours and resolved my issue. Great bike and great company.
