The Mongoose Ruddy Expert features the 27.5+ tire standard that provides a voluminous, plush ride akin to a fat bike that's much more nimble than a full-size fat bike tire width and weight. The Ruddy Expert sports an aluminum hardtail frame that's paired with a Manitou Magnum Comp suspension fork with 120mm of travel to smooth out the roughest of terrain. Furthermore, the suspension fork utilizes a remote lock-out so it's a simple endeavor to switch the suspension on and off as necessary to fully adapt to the terrain at hand. The 2x10-speed drivetrain is stacked with Shimano XT/Deore/SLX components to ensure shifting is precise and reliable. A Shimano M627 crankset with 36/22T chainrings and a 10-speed 11-36T cassette ensure you've got a wide range of gears to tackle terrain where a mid-fat bike excels. Hayes Radar Comp hydraulic brakes with 180mm rotors front and rear ensure there's superb stopping power. The wheels feature thru-axles front and rear for optimal stiffness and handling while the 27.5" x 2.8" WTB TrailBlazer tires use a fast centerline for drag-free speed and square side blocks to hang onto off camber trail and steeps. The wheels are also tubeless to properly benefit from the enhanced volume.
