TransIt Ragster SPD Cycling Sandals (Black) (47-48)
Uppers seem well made, but the sole (where your foot rests) is horrible. Every single raised pad as 1 to 3 injection molding nubs on them, sort of like a new bike tire, but much stiffer. It feels like walking on a bed of nails or like individual grains of sand have been glued to the sole. Clearly no one walked around in these things after the factory started making them. I managed to make the back part of the shoe more comfortable by cutting the nubs off with some nail clippers, but I can't get to the front ones. I think I might be able to use one of those curved nail scissors to get to them but haven't got a pair of those handy to try. If I can't figure out how to get them, I'm going to send these sandals back and get some Shimano sandals.

I wish I could post a photo to show everyone what I'm talking about, but you can sort of see them on the stock photos for the sandals.

I am very, very annoyed.

TransIt Ragster SPD Cycling Sandals (Black) (37-38)
I liked these so much that I ordered a second pair in case Nashbar stopped selling them. The first pair wore out after about 20,000 miles, including many long rides (200, 300, 400, 600, 1000K), so I started to use the second pair. I’m about to buy a third pair that I’ll use for flat-pedal rides (not cutting out the rubber for 2-cleat pedals). I use these with wool socks (thickness weather dependent)—very comfortable! A great feature is their size adjustability.

TransIt Ragster SPD Cycling Sandals (Black) (37-38)
I have been wearing these sandals for thousands of miles over the past 10 years! yes 10! Last summer we cycled across the U.S. and they are finally looking worn and will probably need replacement. These sandals are comfortable for getting off the bike and walking around on cobblestone streets, up hills and into museums. Some have said the insole is hard and bumpy which is true but doesn't affect the comfort and makes for a great ride. This current sale price is amazing. Get some!

TransIt Ragster SPD Cycling Sandals (Black) (37-38)
I have had these sandals for almost a full year and continue to love them. As I mentioned in my first review, I usually wear socks with them, but I have worn them without and have not found the soles to be uncomfortable. They were great through last summer and into the fall, just adding wool socks to make them comfy when it got colder. As soon as the weather began to warm this spring, I was back into them. and wear them all the time. I ordered a second pair a month after the first came figuring they might become difficult to get and I am glad I did.
