The PNW Puget 2x MTB lever works with standard mountain bike handlebars but is designed specifically to fit next to a front shifter for 2x drivetrains.

Designed to fit on the left hand side of the handlebars along with a 2x shifter
Cable secured with barrel nut for universal use with mechanically actuated seatposts
Rotary ferrule for easy adjusting out of the lever
