Shimano Dura-Ace FD-9000 Front Derailleur Skid Plate Description:

The Shimano Dura-Ace FD-9000 Front Derailleur Skid Plate is a factory replacement part for brazed-on and clamp style Dura-Ace FD-9000 front derailleurs. It protects the front derailleur cage from premature wear from the chain touching the front derailleur cage when chain is on the big chainring on the crankset and at the same time on the bigger sprockets in the cassette. The plastic construction will also reduce the amount of chain rub noise coming from the drivetrain.
