Surly Singleator Chain Tensioner (Black)

Surly Singleator mounts right up to your derailleur hanger and provides a simple, effective, and adjustable means of tensioning the excess chain slack found in vertical dropout single-speed drivetrains.

Features:

• Triple-sealed spring, large cog capacity and chain guides
• Stainless steel pivot bushing
• Includes two springs for upward or downward tension adjustment
• Do not use with a coaster brake, fixed gear, multi-cog or multi ring drivetrains
• Works best with cogs 24T and under
• Not suitable for use on full suspension bikes
• Can be configured to push down or push up on the chain. Ships with spring set to push down

Tools Required For Installation:

• 18mm Cone Wrench
• 4mm Allen Wrench
• 5mm Allen Wrench
• Small flat head screwdriver (Needed for changing spring configuration)
• Torque Wrench w/ 5mm Allen Head (Torque to 9Nm)
