TransIt Flatbed DLX Hitch Rack (Black) (2 Bikes) (1.25 & 2" Receiver)
At first I was not happy with this rack because I had three bolts fail, nut now I have subsequently spoken with two Nashbar representatives and they have %100 corrected the situation with this bike rack. So in summary dealing with Nashbar is great, and if you buy this rack check the hardware because I think mine happened to have a bad lot or wrong sized bolts. Otherwise I like it and recommend it.

TransIt Flatbed DLX Hitch Rack (Black) (2 Bikes) (1.25 & 2" Receiver)
We are happy with the quality at that price level except for the hardware, as others have stated, is extremely low quality. Having a machining background, I recognized these nuts and bolts as some of the worst I've laid eyes on. We did not use them!!

Luckily, our local hardware store happened to have the replacement parts that work very well, so that was an extra step having to go to the store to replace parts we just got with a new item. To improve your product, you may want to consider using more quality nuts and bolts! We used the rack for a weekend trip with our two bicycles and all went well. Thanks much.

TransIt Flatbed DLX Hitch Rack (Black) (2 Bikes) (1.25 & 2" Receiver)
My bike hung on my old rack and I hated it. It was such a chore to get my bike securely strapped down as not to damage my bike or my car. This flatbed rack fixes all those problems. Easy to set up, but the bolts that secure the rack to the hitch arm were way too short and could not be used. Luckily I am an auto mechanic and I set this up at work (that's where the tools are) so I was ably to go to the cabinet and get longer bolts. So, you may need a trip to a hardware store for longer bolts (get the correct grade). Torque specs for these bolts would have been very helpful. Adjusting the rack to fit my bike was simple. Loading and unloading is quick and easy. There are velcro straps that secure the wheels, but they don't really reach around anything and I have narrow road bike tires. I also don't see the need to strap the tires down when they're sitting in a tray, but I'm new to this and don't know much. Overall I really like this product

TransIt Flatbed DLX Hitch Rack (Black) (2 Bikes) (1.25 & 2" Receiver)
Overall it's an "OK" flat bike rack. I had two big issues when assembling and using the rack for the first time. During assembly, the two bolts that affix the trailer hitch tube to the rack frame stripped out when I was tightening them. The tube has internal nuts that the bolts thread into and the threads on the bolts stripped after torqueing them. I opted to drill out the threads in the tube and install through bolts all the way through the tube and put locking nuts on the outside of the tube. In the original design, the two bolts with the internal nuts are the only things holding the rack (and the bikes) to the car. The bolt stripped out so easily that I had no confidence that they would hold with the car going down the road and keep the rack attached to the hitch tube. The last thing that I want is for the rack to fall off of the back of the car because of cheap bolts.

Secondly, the locking pin that goes through the trailer hitch to secure the rack to the car fell apart on the first use. When I unlocked the lock all of the internal parts fell out. I had to piece them back together and reassemble the lock. There's no way that the lock barrel should fall out when the lock is in the unlock position. It would be better if the hole in the tube were drilled for a standard 5/8" diameter hitch pin. The locking pin that comes with the rack actually threads into the rack and then lock goes on the end of the pin. This is to hold the rack snuggly to the hitch, but it requires a wrench to tighten the bolt. Plus the internal threads on the tube for the pin won't allow a standard receiver hitch pin to pass through. I plan to modify the tube to accept a standard hitch pin.

I have pictures, but can't attach them to this review.

I was happy with the price, but it cost me $25 in hardware and about an hour of my time to modify.

On a good note, the rack is easily adjustable for bikes of different sizes and shapes and the locking clamps are solid. The clamps fit will with a men's or woman's bike frame style.

TransIt Flatbed DLX Hitch Rack (Black) (4 Bikes) (2" Receiver)
Great 4 bike system! This bike rack will accept different size bike easily. The rack was very easy to assemble and the only problem I have with it is that it is heavy. You really need two people to put it on and take it off.
